Today is International World Water Day. 2013 has been designated as the UN International Year of Water Cooperation, in recognition that Water Cooperation is essential to strike a balance between different needs and priorities and that this precious resource needs to be shared equitably. More importantly, this is a day to create awareness on water as a limited resource which is facing dire threats and needs to be protected.
So be water wise and use carefully.
Cinnamon Grand Colombo treated 40 children to a morning at Nuga Gama for a fun filled awareness session on caring for the environment. Under the theme ‘For the love of the planet’, the session focused on inculcating in children the importance of making daily choices that impact the earth positively, in a fun and accessible manner. The session was hosted by Cinnamon Grand in association with the EarthWatch page on the Funday Times, as part of the hotel’s efforts towards making knowledge and learning fun and accessible to children.
